Staying on track...

I started over last Thursday for good. My doctor thinks I can reach my goal weight  in five months. I guess seeing an end to my heaviness has me excited and committed for the first time in a while. I even made it through the weekend without slipping. I've drank so much water, I feel like I'm going to float away. Going on vacation this Thursday and will be out of my normal routine. Hoping all goes well. I have planned our menu for the trip and I have plenty of healthy foods and snacks. Wi

Feeling better today...

I ate at El Fenix for lunch yesterday and it was only worse thereafter. But, I saw my doctor yesterday and he has suggested a diet and exercise plan (duh), and I have to go back in a month. I'm sure he will hold me accountable if I continue to slack off. So far today, I have stayed well within the perimeters of my diet and I feel great and I'm not hungry. Of course, I've probably drank a gallon of water and it's only noon. Anyway, looking forward to my workout (which is unheard of for me). Going...

Here we go again...

Since my previous post, I have been working out occasionally and not dieting much at all. Occasionally I have eaten healthy. So, here I am again, trying to start over. I hate not fitting in my clothes, and I hate shopping for clothes because most likely I will need a size larger. I don't want to be buy anything bigger than the 16-18 I wear now. It was all down hill from there...

I had buttermilk pie the other night and it went downhill from there. I didn't work out past Wednesday of last week as planned. I didn't track my food as I should have. I weighed myself this morning and I still lost 3 pounds. I wonder if it would have been more, if I had stuck to my plan. Here's hoping this week will be better.

SmashBurger for Lunch...

Went to SmashBurger with co-workers for lunch. Read the menu online prior to getting there and decided on the Avacado Club SmashChicken. The sandwich was delicious and only 290 calories. I got the nutrition information off of the internet, not sure how accurate it is, but the sandwich included grilled chicken, whole wheat bun, lettuce, tomato, onion, avacado and bacon. Definitely better today...

Worked out at the gym for lunch instead of eating at El Fenix. Stuck to the lunch I brought including a cup of broccoli. Walked a mile tonight and then did the strength training part of today's workout. Didn't feel like eating after the workout, but ate a small salad with half of a chicken breast. Overall a good diet day.

So, my son had baseball practice including parent meeting last night, my daughter had Girl Scouts including the need for me to sign paperwork to sign up for next year, and after dinner was cooked and I sat down to eat it was well past 8 pm. I know it's not good to eat that late, but what else was a I supposed to do. Fortunately, I made myself eat a salad before the spaghetti, therefore limiting my portion of spaghetti.
