I'm not planning on following the Zone diet religiously, but I'm adjusting my nutrient ratios to see if it makes any difference to my energy levels. I'm aiming for 40:30:30 (carbs:protein:fat).

FitClick has a pretty useful nutrient ratio breakdown under the Diet Tracker (Diet & Nutrition menu). I'm aiming for daily percentages of:
Carbs - 50%
Protein - 33%
Fat - 17%

Okay, I know some people are going to hate me for this, but I'm having trouble eating enough! I do a lot of exercise and training, including one hour a week with a personal trainer.
On Saturday, when I "complained" that I'd like to beef up a bit, my trainer advised adding an extra 500 calories to my daily diet. I started tracking my typical day's food starting this morning, and I've just realised that I'm not eating as many calories as I thought; i.e. not enough to sust...
