Today I got in 6,921 steps. Not too bad. I walked the dogs with my husband after dark and almost didn't go. I thought to myself that if I give in one day, I might not get back on track. I can tell that I'm very rigid with my activity and diet right now and am afraid to try new things. In reality, I know that I'm going to have to be flexible because life is not always accommodating! This is yet another area that I have to work on. It's a challenge and I'm up for it!

Today I got in only 3,138 steps. Had quite a bit of pain again and was unable to move around. When I get discouraged, I have to remember that some activity is better than no activity so I won't be tempted to give up. I am still frustrated by the website when it comes to tracking my activity. I've followed the steps and even the comment someone left me but it appears that the link is broken. There is never a page that comes up for me to log reps, weight etc... I sent the help desk an email and ho...

Help please! I have been on here everyday this week and tried to log my walking workouts with zero success. When I go back and look at my activity log, it says I have not recorded any activity. I've followed the instructions to find the type of exercise I've done but then I'm suppose to record the reps, weight etc...and this field never pops up. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? I would really like to start charting my progress so I can see how far I've come over the past week, month etc... than...

With increasing the amount of activity I do in a day, I realize that I'm sleeping better at night! I was up before 6am yesterday and walked the dogs for 3,000 steps and walked a total of 11,100 steps yesterday! It felt great to be up and active again. I know that if I can continue to walk my goal of 10,000 steps a day, I will most certainly see the results. I just hope that I'm pain free or at least able to deal with the pain and be active.

Yesterday I set a goal to walk 5,000 steps and gradually increase to 10,000 steps per day to get fit and healthy. Hald way through the day, my watch reset and I have no idea how many steps I took but remember seeing I was in the 6,000 range before I took my dog on a walk. The walk added another 3,000 steps and I was encouraged as I wrote down the number in my walking log! So encouraged that I woke up early this morning (this never happens with me. I love to sleep in) took both dogs for a walk at...

Today was another day with no activity other than the 3,241 steps I did just being around. I am under my caloric intake for the day but still the scale has not budged. I know I need to be more active but can't because of pain right now. Anyone have an idea for something I can do until I'm able to be out and about and making a conscious effort at the gym? The nerve damage I have can be very tricky to deal with. Just when I start working out and get a good momentum going, BAM I'm hit with ano...

Much to my surprise, I think I'm not eating enough calories. I know that sounds crazy but I'm under my calorie range for weight loss. I also am getting a VERY clear picture that I eat junk! No wonder I'm tired and out of shape. On the positive side, having the fridge cleaned out and organzied with already prepared fruits and veggies to eat was a huge help and my family likes it too! No activity today since I'm in a flare with pain but I'm not giving up. It may not be tomorrow or the next day but...

One other positive change I made this weekend in the kitchen was to clean out my refridgerator. I threw everything out and started all over. I purchased the clear plastic Glad Ware storage containers to store fresh fruit and veggies in. After shopping, I came home and chopped up all the fruit and veggies and put them in the containers in the fridge. Now when I'm hungry, I don't have to go for the pre packaged junk food. I can open the fridge and see all those colorful healthy foods I just stocke...

After tracking everything I ate today, I was surprised to see that I still fell within my calorie range! Yeah! A week or so ago I went to Walmart and bought a Sportline wrist watch with extra bells and whistles. It was very affordable at around $35.00 and it shows me how many calories I burn in a day, how many steps I take, miles I log etc...and it even has a button for me to check my heart rate at random. I highly recommend you purchase one and see exactly what your heart rate is at various tim...

HA HA HA HA! This is for everyone who has ever thought, "I'll try and control portion size of my food and follow exactly what a portion is on the food package." I got up starving and went to the pantry. As I passed up the easy to grab cookies and home made cake, I spotted the Honey Nut Cheerios box. Yum! So I got the cereal, a bowl and milk and then stopped. This time I was actually going to measure the amount of one serving which is 3/4 cup. I had a moment of, "
